Offered is an elegant hunting knife of absolute collector's quality: the Izumi Ichiago Amboya. This knife embodies a masterful synthesis between a functional, ergonomic design and legendary Japanese smithing craft.
Region of Origin: Sakai / Izumi (Osaka, Japan)
This hunting knife comes from the Sakai region (historical Izumi). This Japanese region is world-famous and has been delivering the very highest quality in handmade knives and swords for more than 600 years. Craftsmanship from this region is known for extreme precision and long durability.
Unique German-Japanese Collaboration
This knife is the result of a unique cross-pollination: it combines the ancient Japanese forging tradition from Sakai with refined, ergonomic design influences from the renowned German knife designer Ernst Siebeneicher-Hellwig. Thus tradition and modern user-friendliness wonderfully complement each other.
Blade of top quality
The razor-sharp blade features a core of superior Japanese VG-10 steel, flanked on both sides by 34 to 36 layers of rust-resistant Japanese Damascus steel. This ensures exceptional sharpness, excellent edge retention, and a beautiful, unique wavy Damascus pattern on the steel.
