Description from the seller
French urn in Louis XVI revival style made of oxblood red glazed porcelain with gilded bronze mounting, circa 1870-1900. The gilded bronze mount consists of 2 openwork bows with floral garlands underneath. The beautifully shaped handles with female heads and flowers underneath. All mounts are simply gorgeous. It is exactly the kind of labor-intensive construction you would expect on better bronze-mounted objects. (be sure to view all the photos). The top ring sits loose on the vase. The whole is 50 cm high, 28.5 cm wide across the ears, and 26 cm deep measured at the bows. Truly a sublime piece of French antiques. And in excellent condition without defects. Due to size and weight and risk of breakage there is no shipping possible. Pickup only.
