Antique Art Nouveau crystal decanter of European origin, cut crystal with a heavy, elaborately cut stopper, dating to circa 1900–1920, approximately 27 cm tall, 10 cm wide and 23 cm deep, weighing about 1.265 kg, in excellent condition with minimal signs of wear and no cracks or chips.
Description from the seller
Very beautiful antique cut-crystal decanter, dating probably from the early 20th century, around 1900–1920.
A piece of fine quality, in thick crystal, perfectly clear and transparent, richly worked and cut. The decanter presents an elegant and imposing silhouette, with a body of ribbed facets, a worked neck, and a remarkable original stopper, particularly heavy and richly shaped, which adds a lot of character to the whole.
Models of decanters with a construction very close to this are documented in the old catalogs of the great European crystal manufacturers from the early 20th century. Attribution to Val Saint-Lambert or Baccarat is possible, but cannot be confirmed with certainty in the absence of a mark or documentation allowing precise identification of the model.
The decanter is in excellent condition, with crystal that is very bright and transparent. No cracks or chips.
Height: about 27 cm with the stopper
Weight: about 1.265 kg
