Ron Arad avoids methodological depth, preferring a surface explored with impulsive curiosity. He doesn’t like manifestos and instructions. He says he is not disciplined, that he jumps from one thing to another, that he loves risk: “I do not have an exclusive subscription to any discipline, be it design, architecture, or sculpture.”
Arad’s work is made of surprises and detours, his chairs are not limited to being chairs.
