Description from the seller

Elegant pair of English table-top frames in hammered sterling silver, made between the late 19th and early 20th centuries, in full Art Nouveau taste with Rococo Revival influences. The frames feature a rich high-relief decoration with putti, floral volutes, vegetal motifs, and ornamental cartouches of great visual impact.

The quality of the relief work and the depth of the details confer on the pieces a refined and impressive presence, typical of high-end English silverware intended for aristocratic residences of the era. The English hallmarks present attest to British manufacture with the London assay.

The frames retain their elegant original stand backed by velvet lining on the reverse, an element that further enhances the authentic charm of the set.

Sold exclusively as a pair.

Total lot weight: 754 grams.

The weight includes the wooden inner frame, the glass, the rear support, and the sterling silver covering of both frames.

The dimensions indicated in the listing refer to the larger frame.

A decorative pair of great charm, ideal for collectors of English silver, interior designers, or classic and elegant environments.
