Magnificent cheese service in faience from the Gien manufacture – France, consisting of 10 matching pieces.

The service includes:
9 cheese plates – diameter 18.5 cm
1 large presentation platter – diameter 31 cm, equipped with its central metal handle

Very pretty decor “Les Fromages”, typically French, combining foliage and flowers in delicate shades of green, purple and brown, with at the center of the plates a composition representing different cheeses accompanied by ears of wheat.

The large platter is particularly decorative, with around its rim the names of famous French cheeses: Camembert, Brie, Valençay, Bresse-Blue, Tomme, Munster, Roquefort, Maroilles, Reblochon, Saint-Nectaire, Comté, Pont-l'Évêque…
The plates bear the inscription “Les Fromages” and are stamped GIEN FRANCE on the back.
