Bearded reedling Taxidermy full body mount - Panurus biarmicus - 13 cm - 15 cm - 7 cm

Male Bearded Reedling (Panurus biarmicus) - 13 x 15 x 7 cm - with a meticulously prepared and preserved mount.

We are pleased to present this splendid male Bearded Reedling (Panurus biarmicus), masterfully preserved in a high-quality taxidermy display on a tripod-like perch. The piece captures the bird's vibrant beauty and the vigilant pose of this fascinating swamp bird.

This adult male is easily identifiable thanks to its distinctive somatic traits, rendered with exceptional precision:

Head: The characteristic gray-blue head is crowned by a bright yellow beak. The most iconic feature, the long black "beards" or mustache-like sides that run from the face to the neck, are defined with sharpness, giving the specimen a noble and faithful-to-nature appearance.

Plumage: The plumage shows a rich palette of colors, ranging from golden fawn to bright cinnamon on the back and flanks, in clear contrast with the ventral grayish-white area and the finely patterned wing coverts. The long brown-reddish tail, perfectly extended, completes the elegant silhouette.

Realistic Details: The use of high-quality glass eyes, with a dark pupil and a sharp yellow iris, gives the bird a lively and attentive expression, oriented to the left as if scanning the surroundings. The slender dark legs and talons are firmly and realistically fixed to the perch.

The Perch:
The bird is mounted on a perch that realistically imitates a piece of tree bark or ancient wood, with a textured, structural, and contorted surface, resting on a solid base. This minimalist and rustic design fits any exhibition setting.

Condition:
The specimen is in excellent and pristine condition. The plumage is clean, intact, and free of parasites or visible damage. The mount is solid and stable.
