Description
Important and fascinating Fraraccio Sfilato, made in the early 2000s by the historic Frosolone cutlery, an authentic symbol of Molisan artisanal tradition.
With its total length of 25 cm, this specimen belongs to the medium-large category of working knives that for generations accompanied the daily life of breeders, farmers, and shepherds of the Apennines between Molise and Abruzzo. A model that over the years became a true reference for enthusiasts of traditional Italian cutlery.
The knife features an elegant glossy black ABS handle, robust and functional, embellished by polished metal fittings and the classic terminal ring typical of many regional knives of Central-Southern Italy.
The long 11 cm blade is made of 420 INOX steel, a material valued for its robustness, corrosion resistance, and easy maintenance. The slender tapered shape of the Sfilato highlights its elegance and represents one of the most iconic lines of Fraraccio production.
For decades this type of knife has been carried daily in the countryside and pastures of the Central Apennines, becoming an indispensable tool for rural work and a distinctive element of the local peasant culture.
Today the Fraraccio Sfilato is regarded as an authentic cult of Italian traditional cutlery, highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts.
