Description from the seller

Important and fascinating traditional “Sicilian” knife made by Fraraccio, a historic cutler from Frosolone, renowned for reinterpreting the great regional classics of Italian popular cutlery.

This model represents one of the most iconic knives of the Sicilian peasant and pastoral tradition. Used for generations by farmers, breeders and fishermen, it was the classic daily companion always in the pocket: sturdy, simple, reliable and built for real work.

The peculiarity of this specimen lies in its substantial size, a fundamental characteristic in the Sicilian tradition. The long blade allowed not only the daily agricultural uses but also table use during meals in the countryside and in the farmhouses.

The knife features the classic handle in the humble material of popular tradition, yet enhanced by a splendid natural chromatic finish that makes each piece unique. Brass ferrule and satin-finished 420 stainless steel blade with engraving “Siciliano made in Italy”.

An historical, essential and authentic model, today increasingly difficult to find in these conditions and in this important size.

Brass ferrule
Made by Fraraccio
