Description from the seller
Rare advertising postcard
This is a historic vintage advertising postcard from Lechler created around 1940 by the billposter Calamida
it is a piece of notable interest for philately and Italian advertising collecting.
• Shipping date: Mailed from Ponte Chiasso on November 25, 1941 (XX year of the Fascist Era, as was customary in era stamps).
• The Stamp: It is a postal full stamp printed with the effigy of King Vittorio Emanuele III (from the Imperial series), with a value of 30 cents, which was the regular reduced rate in force for commercial postcards and prints in 1941.
• Departure postmark: Crisp single-circle cancel bearing the inscription "Ponte Chiasso (Como)", i.e., the border locality where Lechler's laboratories and main plants were located.
It is a prepaid accounting communication sent by Chr. Lechler & Figlio Successori di Brizzolara & C. (signed at the bottom by one of the managers).
The company informs the client that it has issued a bank draft covering a payable on an invoice.
The item is well preserved. It has two holes on the left margin: they are archival holes, a very common practice at the time in workshops and commercial offices to insert receipts and documents into lever folders.
