Murano - Picture frame - Murano glass - Vintage Murano frame

Refined torchon portrait frame in Murano glass dating from the 1940s/1950s, large size (33 x 26.5 cm). The edge is made from a block of Murano glass worked with the torchon technique, and the supporting easel with the typical top clamp system to lock the back is in patinated burnished brass. It was probably displayed in the Rome shop G. Lubrani with the authentic vintage card stating the old posting tax in Lire. 0.40. The frame is in good vintage condition. The glass is perfect with no chips or cracks of any kind. It has undergone a professional restoration consisting of a weld under the hook (see photo) to give greater stability to the frame. The patinated brass retains its original patina. Inevitable signs of age, as seen in the photos which are an integral part of the description. Careful packaging, controlled shipping.
