AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Take a good look at all the photos.

The Lady Amherst's Pheasant (Chrysolophus amherstiae) is a species of galliform birds in the Phasianidae family. The species is named after the countess and naturalist Sarah Amherst, wife of William Pitt Amherst, Governor-General of the Indies, who was responsible for sending the first specimen to London in 1828. It is also called Amherst's Pheasant. It is native to southwestern China and Burma, but has been introduced in other countries. In particular, there is a small population in England, in Bedfordshire.

As for the Golden Pheasant (Chrysolophus pictus), he is also a species of birds in the Phasianidae family, order Galliformes. He is native to China and has been introduced in Great Britain, but his in-the-wild habits remain somewhat poorly known. The male sports a very colorful plumage, which has made it a common bird in aviaries and zoos.

This is a true fireworks display of color that we offer you here, notably the color of the plumages of the two birds .. Superb !!!

These two birds are presented in flight, wings fully spread, above a specially designed stand, to be placed with explosive colors (or to be hung).

Taxidermy of both birds was completed in late 2025, so they are in like-new condition.

The two birds can be removed from the stand (which will be the case for shipping), with extreme ease and can be reassembled just as easily.

This is, of course, an exceptional lot, a Unique lot that you will neither see nor find anywhere else, except here, for You and only here, on Catawiki.

(All our packages are secured with materials specifically adapted for this purpose, and sent no later than the day after your payment, via Colissimo, with a tracking number provided.)
