Secrétaire - Mahogany - Klep Secretaire, mahogany

Special and richly executed antique flap-front secretaire/writing cabinet from circa 1880.

The secretaire has a handsome dark mahogany appearance and is equipped with a richly decorated crown with wood carving, original decorative fittings, and a top cabinet with two glass doors.

The large drop-down panel can be lowered and then forms the writing surface. Behind it there is a beautifully designed light-wood interior with various small drawers and storage compartments, inlaid decorative borders, and a central niche. Under the writing surface there are three roomy drawers.

Additionally, the cabinet comes with a certificate of authenticity stating that the furniture was manufactured around 1880 and sold as an original antique.

A special piece of furniture of about 145 years old that is a real eye-catcher both when closed and when open.

The secretaire is in used antique condition with signs of wear and aging appropriate to its age. See the photos.
