AI-assisted summary
Description from the seller
A unique and highly collectible vintage Soviet checkers game (Shashki), beautifully handmade and in absolute mint condition.
In contrast to the more common chess variants, this complete checkers set contains 24 meticulously hand-painted Matryoshka (nesting dolls) pieces (12 in red/orange hues and 12 in blue hues). The attention to detail on the traditional attire is exceptional, with vibrant colors and a flawless lacquer finish.
Features & Collectors Value:
• Guaranteed authenticity: The inside of the folding wooden case is equipped with the original, official Soviet quality stamp: "ОТК сорт-1" (Quality Control Department - First Class/Top Quality). This proves that the game met the strict factory standards in the USSR.
• 100% Complete: All 24 pieces are present, which is extremely rare for a vintage game of this age.
• Condition: Mint. The board, the hinges, and all individually hand-painted pieces show virtually no signs of use or paint damage.
The foldable wooden board measures when opened a classic 8x8 grid (64 squares).
An exceptional and rare find for collectors of vintage toys, Soviet memorabilia, or unique board games.
Shipping: Carefully packaged and insured with tracked delivery.
