Georgian‑style antique mahogany butler tray table in wood, Europe origin, dating from 1960–1970, with a removable tray, folding sides with brass hinges and cut‑out handles, and dimensions 69 cm wide, 58 cm high and 43 cm deep, in excellent condition.
Description from the seller
A classic-style mahogany butler tray table is shown, which can be used as a coffee table or serving table.
The main feature of this type of furniture is the removable tray and the folding sides with brass hinges, which when folded up prevent objects from falling, while when fully lowered, they increase the usable surface of the table. For easier portability, there are cut-out handles on each of the four side panels.
The design of the table follows the classic Chippendale variation:
• Design: It is characterized by a rectangular center section and distinctive, curved, rounded side panels with brass hinges. When the side panels are folded up, the tray protects the dishes from slipping; when folded down, the table becomes a continuous, oval surface.
• Use of materials: Traditionally made of noble hardwoods, most often mahogany or walnut, with a high-gloss polished surface and ornate brass fittings.
But if someone wants to store it in an even smaller space, the legs can be unscrewed with butterfly screws, they are screwed together, stably, as you can see in the picture.
We can post it carefully packaged, in an insured, registered package.
