Wall-mounted demi‑lune console in forged brass and light marble, Luigi XV style, origin France, 90 cm wide by 33 cm deep by 77 cm high, weight 30 g, in good used condition with minor signs of age and stains.
Description from the seller
Elegant Half-M Moon Wall Console in Brass and Light Marble – Louis XV Style – Italy, 60s/70s
Refined wall console “demilune” (half-moon) in Louis XV / Baroque style, a splendid example of Italian vintage furniture from the second half of the 20th century (circa the 1960s/1970s).
The piece is distinguished by a solid and elegant supporting structure in cast brass (or light bronze), embellished with flowing and slender lines. The front apron features rich pierced work with decorative motifs of volutes, shells and floral elements typical of the period’s style. The structure is crowned by a premium shaped top in light veined marble, harmoniously following the curvature of the base.
Thanks to its shallow depth and wall-mounted silhouette, this console represents an ideal and highly impactful furniture solution for entrances, hallways, or living rooms, adapting perfectly to classical settings as well as eclectic and contemporary interiors as a striking accent element.
Details and Conditions:
• Era: Circa 1960-1970
• Country of origin: France
• Materials: Structure in worked cast brass, top in natural marble.
• Conditions: The item is in excellent condition.
