Rare and fascinating original 18th-century antique print, consisting of a splendid bird’s-eye view and topographic plan of the city of Como and its famous lake (Lac de Como). The plate shows the historic core of the city enclosed by the ancient medieval walls, the Duomo, the period boats in use, and the evocative mountainous profile surrounding the lake basin. In the upper left corner there is an elegant cartouche with the title in French.

The work is presented in excellent overall condition, laid out and with excellent inking.
