Vintage-International Silver Company Mayflower Hotel Washington D.C. Placcato Argento XXL - Cutlery set (34) - Silverplated - Read the description

Vintage, elegant, and exclusive 34-piece cutlery set with XXL silver plating, coming from the famous Mayflower luxury hotel in the Washington, D.C. area, opened in 1925, nicknamed the "Grande Dame of Connecticut Avenue" and known as the second most important hotel in America after the White House, hosting several Presidents such as Calvin Coolidge for the inaugural ball and Franklin D. Roosevelt, where he lived for several months before his 1933 inauguration. I believe the cutlery dates from 1940–1960. 34 pieces in total and a weight of about 1.8 kg. Unfortunately, one spoon of 18 cm is missing (there are 5 of them, not 6) as seen in the photos. I preferred not to polish the set to preserve its beautiful patina of time. The cutlery set comes without its original packaging. It will arrive in packaging created by me.
