The MINEX 3400 steam locomotive is the narrow-gauge tender locomotive of the “Württembergische Eisenbahngesellschaft (WEG)” depicted with axle arrangement C. The original operated on a track gauge of 1000 mm.
In 1970 Märklin surprised the trade audience at the Nuremberg Toy Fair with a narrow-gauge railway named Minex in the scale 0e (1:45), corresponding to a 750 mm track gauge. In 1972 Minex was discontinued again. These narrow-gauge locomotives, wagons and carriages can run on the well-known Märklin H0 rails with the “3-rail system”
