Description from the seller
A scenographic pair of Italian vintage luminous globes, different in style and cartography, and particularly fascinating when displayed and lit together.
The first is a Nova Rico Firenze Ricoglobus, Made in Italy, with cartography in refined tones of gray, ivory and gold, a dark circular base, and an inclined metal stand. It retains the original manufacturer label and bears a scale of 1:42,500,000.
The second, from an unidentified manufacturer, features brighter multicolor cartography on a yellow background, a graduated arc, and a substantial chrome-like structure. Once illuminated, the globe takes on a warm amber hue that enhances its cartography and makes it particularly decorative.
Both globes are illuminated and functional, as documented in the photographs.
Together they form a pair with a strong presence, capable of evoking the charm of travel, exploration, and interiors of the second half of the twentieth century: particularly suitable for a library, a study, a collection, or an eclectic room in a Cabinet of Wonders.
They show normal signs of time and use, consistent with their vintage nature; the photographs are an integral part of the description.
As these are vintage electrical devices, it is recommended to check the electrical system before extended use.
