Splendid antique sculpture depicting a young violinist in the act of playing.
The sculpture bears the original plaque "Par Aug. Moreau" and fits perfectly within the French artistic production between the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
The sculpture in patinated regulus rests on a circular base in veined green marble; this Art Nouveau sculpture possesses a remarkable decorative presence and represents a fine work of art.
The details of the face, clothing, violin, and bow attest to the mastery of the Belle Époque sculpture ateliers
