A pair of antique Napoléon III neoclassical candelabra in gilded bronze with white onyx, each 46 cm high, 26 cm wide and 26 cm deep, in good condition with minor wear consistent with age.
Description from the seller
An exceptional and imposing pair of five-light candelabras (4 arms of light in dynamic scrolls + 1 raised central flame).
Made in the purest Napoléon III / Neoclassical style, these candelabras elegantly combine the richness of gilded bronze / molded and chiselled brass with the finesse of white onyx (or alabaster).
Details and decorations:
The body is elegantly structured, alternating onyx balusters and gilded elements.
Under each bobeche, the sockets are enhanced with white onyx discs.
Arms of light are finely curved, adorned with decorative scrolls.
Circular molded brass base resting on an onyx plinth.
Condition:
Very good overall aesthetic condition with a superb patina of age. Light wear to the gilding/metal and small natural age marks on the stone that enhance the authenticity of the piece. Solid structure
