Wonderful antique bed linen sheet set
made in precious white cotton fabric, worked in cutwork and spilliature at 500 called spilatino siciliano
The perforated geometric sections and the square motifs are executed with drawn thread techniques (punto giorno) and inserts in open cutwork, typical of the great artisanal tradition of antique bed linen.
The sprigs with little leaves and flowers are finished in full stitch and grass stitch, which give relief and definition to the details.
Historical value: It is a classic piece of the Italian Twentieth Century “good dowry,” where every detail required months of meticulous handmade work.
