Description from the seller
A grand and theatrical statement of vintage silversmithing, this large openwork medallion pendant is forged in solid silver with deep contrast antique oxidation. The architectural gallery reflects late Art Nouveau / Jugendstil organic aesthetics, featuring concentric oval halos joined by open circles, high-relief polished silver spheres, and graceful scrolling tendrils framing an elevated collet setting. Bezel-set at the heart is a substantial rectangular octagonal tablet of natural black onyx (or faceted black glass) displaying beveled corners and a deep, mirror-like satin black face. Suspended by a sleek tapered bail from a sturdy 60 cm silver rolo chain, this substantial piece delivers timeless artistic drama and commanding presence.
