Antique Postage Scale Balance Vintage CONCAV DUOGRAD – 1920s/1930s – Perfectly Functioning.

Splendid and rare antique pendulum postal weighing scale, model CONCAV DUOGRAD, produced in Germany in the first half of the 20th century (estimated period 1920s/1930s).
On the dial the original mark with the famous inscription D.R.G.M. (Deutsches Reichs-Gebrauchs-Muster) is clearly visible, certifying its historical authenticity and the patent of the era.

Mechanical Operation: Perfect. The pendulum mechanism is smooth, with no jams, and weighing is precise and accurate. When unloaded the needle tara correctly at zero on both scales (photos taken with a 20 g weight to test correct operation).

Duograd System (Double Scale): Equipped with the characteristic two graduated scales in grams. Excluding the movable counterweight, it measures light correspondence (up to 50 g); inserting the counterweight automatically taraes the lower scale for heavier packages (up to 250 g).

Upper Plate: Intact, stable and without dents. Preserves its original curved recessed shape designed specifically to hold letters or rolls without them slipping.

Aesthetics: The white enamel dial is in excellent condition, perfectly clear and legible. The metal frame and the round base show a beautiful, genuine patina of time, highly sought after by collectors, with some superficial oxidation marks that attest to its authenticity without compromising its aesthetics (carefully inspect the photos).
