This attractive lot consists of 67 individual natural Scapolite crystals from the Badakhshan Mines of Afghanistan, with a total weight of 65 grams.
The crystals display a beautiful natural purple to lilac colour, with good transparency and attractive lustre. Most pieces show distinct crystalline forms with naturally developed striations and crystal faces, while a few crystal retain portions of their natural terminations.
The crystals contain natural inclusions and internal features, giving each individual piece its own character. Their transparency makes them particularly interesting for collectors, while selected pieces may also be suitable for cabochon cutting or other lapidary applications, depending on the internal quality.
