AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

This is a mechanical cylinder music box, and from the photos it appears to be an interesting antique piece.

You can see a large brass-pinned cylinder, the steel comb with numerous lamellae, side-loading with the original key, a regulator and a selection/stop mechanism. The case is made of solid wood and seems substantially complete. On the frame the number 3762 is also visible.
The construction is compatible with a 19th‑century Swiss music box. A specialist reference from the Musical Box Society describes precisely 19th‑century cylinder boxes with very fine combs and mechanisms of this type; however I would not yet attribute yours to François Nicole or Frères Nicole simply because the number 3762 appears: that number alone does not identify the maker.
