Description from the seller
Antique oak plant stand / side table – Art Nouveau / Jugendstil
Gorgeous antique oak plant stand, also suitable as an elegant side table, originating from the Netherlands. The table features a lovely oval shape and is fitted with two levels. The design is fully symmetrical and is characterized by graceful, gently curved lines and a beautiful, balanced form.
The oval top has a nicely rounded edge and shows the natural grain and warm color of the oak. Under the top surface there is a decorative, elaborated border, where the wooden panels and vertical details add extra depth and character. The four slender legs curve slightly outward, giving the table an elegant, almost organic appearance. The second, also oval shelf sits between the legs and makes the table both decorative and practical.
The combination of flowing lines, curved legs, and graceful woodwork is characteristic of Art Nouveau / Jugendstil, where natural and organic shapes play an important role. The design is simultaneously restrained enough to fit easily into different interiors.
The table is beautifully suited as a plant stand, for example for a beautiful houseplant or decorative bouquet, but it also serves excellently as a side table, pedestal, or presentation table for art objects, books, a vase, or other decorative items. Thanks to the two levels, the table can present various decors in an atmospheric way.
A particularly charming piece of furniture that, through its warm oak wood, elegant oval shape, and characteristic curved legs, forms a warm addition to both a classic, country, vintage, and Art Nouveau-inspired interior. A decorative and functional piece with the look and charm of an authentic antique.
