Description from the seller

This handwoven Kelim is characterized by a modern, graphic design and an unusually balanced color composition. The large central field is defined by soft, interlocking color areas that are arranged in a vertical structure and appear especially lively due to their irregular, jagged transitions.

Color-wise, the dominating shades are blue-gray, coral red, cream, sand, olive green and dark green. The individual color fields do not blend abruptly into one another; instead, they interlock with fine, irregular edges. This creates a modern, almost abstract effect.

On the two narrow sides, the central field is framed by several decorative stripes. There, brown, coral red, dark green, blue-gray and cream alternate. Small recurring geometric elements additionally provide structure and give the rug a clear frame.

The visible weave structure and the fine irregularities emphasize the craftsmanship. With its dimensions of 212 × 146 cm, the Kelim is particularly suitable for living, sleeping, or work areas.
