Description from the seller
Elegant antique oak and marble nightstand – Louis XVI style – circa 1920-1940
Beautiful antique nightstand presenting an elegant architecture inspired by Louis XVI and Neoclassical. It rests on four tall, turned and fusiform legs, adorned with fine fluting that give it a particularly refined silhouette.
The piece is made of dark warm brown stained wood, probably oak, with its natural grain beautifully visible.
The front features an upper drawer, an open niche, and a lower compartment closed by a door.
This door is decorated with a pretty sculpted medallion with a floral motif, adding a lot of character to the whole. The patinated metal pull handles complement the decor harmoniously.
The top consists of a superb white marble top heavily veined with beige, brown and gray, with slightly rounded corners.
Its strongly marked natural pattern makes each part of the top unique and creates a beautiful contrast with the warm wood tone.
Dimensions: height 80 cm × length 40 cm × width 33 cm.
Estimated era: around 1920-1940
Style: Louis XVI
Material: natural wood and marble
Wood: oak
Colors: warm brown, cream white, beige and veined brown
Condition: very good overall considering its age, with signs of use compatible with an antique piece.
A decorative yet functional piece, ideal as a nightstand, small sideboard or end table in a classic, vintage or eclectic interior.
