Ugo Nespolo - L'Apocalisse - 2000

This edition of the Volume «The Apocalypse» was produced for the Jubilee year 2000 in a limited edition of 975/975 and seventy-five copies numbered from I/LXXV to LXXV/LXXV for the whole world.

The work includes the original translation of the text and the introduction by Bruno Forte, ten color plates inserted out of the text and twelve black-and-white illustrations in the text, drawn from original designs specially created for this edition by Ugo Nespolo.

The composition of the texts, following the old manual process, with Garamond 24 type, and the press printing were carried out at the Atelier du Livre of the Imprimerie Nationale de France, on premium BFK Rives 100% cotton paper of 270 g/m², 45×32.5 cm, produced by Cartiere d'Arches specifically for this edition.

The ten plates inserted out of the text were printed with a special technique on BFK Rives 100% cotton paper, 400 g/m², at the Stamperia d'Arte «L'Incisione» of Corbetta - Milan.

The graphic design was supervised by Cdm/associati of Udine. The sewing, binding, and the cover of the volume in hand-stained blue calfskin with gold inscriptions were produced by the artisanal binding atelier «L'Arte del Libro» of Todi.

On the cover of the volume was placed a copy of L'Angelo dell' Apocalisse by Ugo Nespolo, a twelve-color lithograph on a steel plate gold-coated in 24 K gold, 40.5×29.5 cm, produced at the Stamperia d'Arte «L'Incisione», in a limited edition of 975 copies numbered 1/975 to 975/975 and seventy-five copies numbered I/LXXV to LXXV/LXXV.

Each copy of the work L'Angelo dell' Apocalisse is numbered and signed by the Author and is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity and Provenance.

Each volume bears the copy number and the autograph of Ugo Nespolo.
