Postmodern Italian Travertine Coffee Table – Large Model – Late 70s/80s
Description
Beautiful, large postmodern coffee table made of solid Italian travertine (natural stone), dating from the late 70s or early 80s.
This iconic "Parsons-style" design features a thick rectangular top with a high-gloss polished finish, allowing the vibrant natural veining and warm tones of the stone to shine beautifully. The tabletop rests organically on four loose, heavy rectangular column legs, so you can position the legs to your liking.
The table is in very good vintage condition with only minimal signs of age and use. There are no major chips or deep cracks. On the unfinished underside of the stone is the original vintage quality/export sticker from that period still present, which serves as excellent proof of authenticity and era.
Because the table consists of 5 separate elements (the top and 4 loose legs), it is surprisingly practical to transport and move despite its substantial weight.
