Sofa - Cotton

Neoclassical Italian-style sofa with Umbertine references, roughly datable between the late 19th century and the first decades of the 20th century (1880 / 1920).
The structure is made of solid walnut wood, with carved turned balustrade-like arms, volutes, and a very substantial lower fascia. The two side arms detach and can be used as supports for breakfast.
The item was fully restored in 2020; the sofa dismantles completely and reassembles easily.
The upholstery (removable) is white cotton and in perfect condition. The seat cushion was designed to be used also as a bed; the overall width is 193 cm, depth without cushion is 85 cm, the two cushions are 20 cm each. The height to the armrests is 72 cm, and the seat height from the floor is 45 cm.
The structure is sturdy, solid and imposing.
Signs of wear due to age; in one corner of the column a damage has been repaired.
