Description from the seller
Minolta X-700 + MD 200mm F4 – Professionally Serviced in Japan
Serial Numbers:
Camera: 2131060
Lens: 8001660
Thank you very much for viewing this well-preserved classic Minolta 35mm SLR set.
Introduced in 1981, the Minolta X-700 is one of the best-known manual-focus SLRs in the Minolta system. It offers Program AE, aperture-priority AE, and manual exposure, allowing photographers to move easily between convenient automatic shooting and more deliberate manual control.
The included Minolta MD 200mm F4 is a manual-focus telephoto lens from the same era. Its 200mm focal length provides strong subject isolation and compressed perspective, making it particularly useful for portraits, landscapes, nature, and distant subjects where additional reach is required.
This camera has been carefully inspected and serviced in Japan. Our approach to serviced cameras goes beyond simple exterior cleaning and basic operation checks; depending on each camera's condition, we carry out the necessary inspection, disassembly, adjustment, parts replacement, measurement, and preventive maintenance. We also receive servicing requests from camera shops in Japan, and we use this experience to prepare equipment with long-term practical use and ownership in mind.
■ Appearance
The camera and lens have been well stored and remain very clean overall.
The camera body still retains the original sticker from when it was new on the bottom plate, which is an attractive detail and reflects its well-preserved condition.
The light seals have been replaced to help prevent light leaks, and the replaced areas are clean and neatly finished.
Please check the photographs carefully for the detailed cosmetic condition.
■ Viewfinder / Optics
The viewfinder contains only a small amount of fine dust and remains clear overall, providing good visibility for focusing and composition.
The MD 200mm F4 has only a slight trace of thin haze. This did not affect photography during inspection, and the optics remain clear overall.
■ Functional
The camera and lens are operating properly.
The main operating sequence has been checked, including shutter operation, film advance, exposure-related functions, focusing, and aperture operation.
No functional problems were found during inspection.

Thank you very much for taking the time to view this Minolta set.
The X-700 combines the convenience of Program and aperture-priority exposure with the direct control of manual photography, making it an enjoyable camera for both everyday film shooting and more deliberate photographic work.
The MD 200mm F4 complements the body with a distinctly different telephoto perspective, providing useful reach and compression for portraits, landscapes, nature, and distant subjects.
This example is particularly attractive for its well-preserved exterior, including the original sticker still present on the bottom plate. The light seals have been replaced, the viewfinder remains clear overall, and the lens has only slight thin haze that did not affect photography during inspection.
With its good overall condition, confirmed operation, and serviced camera body, this is an appealing set for both practical 35mm photography and collectors of classic Minolta equipment.
