AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Very beautiful and perfectly working Minolta XD7 + MC Rokkor-PG f1.4/50mm fast lens including body cap, UV filter and two lens caps.

In 1977 Minolta produced a camera, namely the XD7. This body was the basis of the Leica R4 when the two giants forged a collaboration. Later it turned out to have been a good choice... the Minolta XD7 did not pale in any way beside the Leica R4.
With its aperture-priority program and shutter-priority program, this Minolta was more than competitive and eventually became the cheaper Leica R4 brother.

Camera body has serial number: 2061691.
The camera uses 2 LR44 batteries or one DL1/3N - 3-volt battery (this one is included).

All shutter speeds from 1 sec to 1/1000 sec, B and X operate perfectly.
Programs M, A and S also work excellently.
ASA values can be set from 12 to 3200.
The viewfinder is clear, but there are some dust particles present that are not distracting and definitely do not impede the photos taken.

This XD-7 was the top-of-the-line camera and still has an excellent reputation.

The Minolta MC Rokkor-PG f1.4/50mm is in excellent condition.
Serial number of the lens: 3257907.
All glass is intact. There are no cleaning marks, no haze or fog inside.
I can only see a few very small dust particles that certainly will not affect the final image.
All diaphragm blades are free of grease or oil.
All diaphragm openings click from f1.4 to f16 as new, as well as all intermediate stops, of course.
Focusing from 0.4 meters to infinity moves super smoothly without hesitation.
The glass has always been protected by a Vivitar 55mm Skylight (1A) filter, which is included.

I personally tested this lens once and compared it with a Leica Summilux f1.4, and I noticed at the time that the Minolta Rokkor PG certainly does not fall short of the Summilux.
The Rokkor PG (meaning 7 lenses in 5 groups) has a unique color rendering and a particularly beautiful classic bokeh, which is something modern MD lenses do not possess.

Also included: a body cap and two lens caps.

I have set a minimum price of €89 for this beautiful camera with an f1.4 lens.
Whoever bids €89 can ultimately become the winner of this especially beautiful set.

The camera with lens and accessories will be packed securely and shipped with Track & Trace and insurance.

NOTE:

I ship my goods with Track & Trace number and insurance to cover possible damage and theft.
This shipping cost is higher (but safer) and is mandatory for us (sellers) by Catawiki.
I use Catawiki’s "Smart Shipping" tool. It was created after negotiations with several carriers and mail-order companies to achieve better and cheaper shipping costs.
Everything is handled automatically, and I only receive a digital shipping label to print and attach to the package.
I also use a one-time handling fee of €10, which is added to the shipping costs.
Included in that are: the time I spend packing, the packing box, the time I spend driving to and from the post office, and a contribution to fuel because my car does not run on water either.
If you cannot agree to this, please do not place any bids.
Thanks in advance.
