AI-assisted summary
Description from the seller
This extraordinary jade nephrite scarab from Burma combines the natural beauty of the green gemstone with one of the oldest symbols of ancient cultures. The sculpted carving shows the characteristic body of a scarab with clearly defined wing parts, legs and fine ornamental details.
Particularly impressive is the intense green hue of the nephrite. Depending on the light, the material ranges from rich, bright green to darker, deep greens. The polished surface beautifully showcases the stone’s natural luster and subtle transparency. Natural inclusions and individual color patterns emphasize its unique character.
The scarab possesses an ancient symbolic history and is especially known from ancient Egypt. There it symbolized renewal, rebirth, vitality, and the ever-repeating course of the sun. Therefore, this gemstone sculpture is not only a decorative collector’s piece but also an object with special symbolic resonance.

Nephrite, alongside jadeite, is one of the two minerals traditionally grouped under the label jade. For millennia, the material has been used for jewelry, carvings and artistic objects due to its toughness, pleasant feel, and characteristic green tones.
In various cultural traditions, jade is symbolically associated with harmony, luck, protection, balance and steadiness. Together with the traditional symbolism of the scarab, this creates a striking object that can stand for renewal, vitality and positive development. These meanings are culturally and spiritually transmitted and do not represent scientifically proven effects.
