Description from the seller
This fascinating crinoid freeform comes from Indonesia and is an exceptional testament to ancient Earth history. The bright, spiral- and star-shaped structures in the gray to olive-colored rock are fossilized remains of crinoids that lived in the oceans millions of years ago. Through natural polishing, these fossils stand out strikingly and give the piece a unique, almost artistic appearance.
Crinoid fossils are not only geologically significant but are also regarded as stones of permanence and grounding. They connect us with the power and calm of nature and remind us of the endless cycle of life.
This freeform is a one-of-a-kind collectible that convinces both as a decorative mineral object and as a spiritual symbol. A perfect companion for collectors, nature and fossil lovers who want to preserve the beauty and history of past worlds in their home.
