The Sigma 85mm F/1.4 ART DG HSM is a prime lens that is perfect for creating portraits with ultimate creative expression.
As part of the Art line within Sigma's Global Vision series, this lens is designed to achieve remarkable optical performance. The prime lens is therefore ideally suited for creative and artistic applications. The Sigma 85mm F/1.4 ART DG HSM is designed for full-frame format Nikon FX-mount cameras, but can also be used with APS-C models. The fast maximum aperture of f/1.4 is very suitable when you work in low-light conditions and also provides more control over the focus position. The nine diaphragm blades are designed to create an almost circular aperture opening. In this way, a very beautiful bokeh is produced. The lens construction is designed to correct chromatic aberrations across the entire focusing range. This results in very sharp, clear, and high-contrast images, regardless of the focus point or aperture setting. The optical design also helps control distortion and vignetting.
The lens is further equipped with the Hyper Sonic AF motor, which provides fast, quiet, and precise focusing and a large focusing ring, allowing you to manually focus by simply turning the focus ring at any time.
The Sigma 85mm F/1.4 ART DG HSM features a Super Multi-Layer Coating. This helps minimize ghosting and lens flare and contributes to the production of high-contrast, color-neutral images, even in backlighting.
