Description from the seller
Splendid and elegant three-level folding cake stand / mousseline server produced by the famous Italian manufacturer Alfra Alessi, dating from the mid-20th century (roughly the 1950s/60s).
The piece represents a classic of Italian table design: a clever and foldable structure that allows the stand to be compacted when not in use and easily opened in a fan to serve desserts, chocolates, cookies, or finger foods on three wide tiers.
The three dishes are enriched by a refined floral/orientalist satin decoration at the center and by an elegant corded edge (or torchon motif).
On the lower base the original hallmark is present:
ALFRA ALESSI – 18/10 STAINLESS STEEL – ITALY – MOD DEP.
Conditions:
The item presents in excellent vintage condition, conserved, clean and shiny. Only light micro-scratches and slight halos due to time and use are noted, visible only in oblique light.
The measurements refer to the object when closed.
