The Memphis style teapot designed by Italian designer Matteo Thun for Arzberg Germany, part of the Fantasia series (1980–1990), is made of glazed porcelain and measures 15 cm high and 23 cm wide including the handle and spout, in excellent unused condition.

Teapot in Memphis style designed by the Italian designer Matteo Thun for Arzberg Germany. Part of Arzberg's Fantasia series from 1980-1990.
Material: glazed porcelain.
Dimensions: height 15 cm and width 23 cm (including handle/spout)
Marked: ''Arzberg'' on the bottom
Condition: in excellent and undamaged condition.

Matteo Thun (1952), together with Ettore Sottsass, founded the Memphis group. In 1984 he established his architecture and design studio in Milan, undertaking commissions for firms such as Artemide, Driade, Illy, Philips Electronics, Fontana Arte, Missoni, Porsche Design, VitrA, Villeroy & Boch, Zucchetti, etc., and architectural projects worldwide. His work has been awarded three times the prestigious 'Compasso d'Oro', the highest Italian design prize.
This teapot (and the teapot with cup 'Tea for One' in Memphis style, with vibrant, cheerful colors and round, oversized 'Mickey Mouse' handles) is part of the 'Fantasia' series by Arzberg, a company within the Rosenthal group. The line was designed by Matteo Thun to celebrate Arzberg's 100th anniversary.
