Antique Egyptian bracelet with red breccia jaspe, lapis lazuli, white quartz/faience and coral set in a silk thread and linked to an adjustable steel jewelry bracelet, weighing 6.92 g and dating to circa 500 BC.
Description from the seller
Central bead of brecciate red jasper, faience, lapis lazuli, white coral and Ancient Egyptian ceramic set in silk thread. They are linked into an adjustable steel jewelry bracelet.
Brecciated red jasper is a type of jasper formed when the original rock fractures due to geological movements and subsequently those gaps are filled with quartz-rich minerals (white quartz/calcedonia in this case), creating this mosaic-like appearance.
An elegant way to combine the classical world with the modern world.
It ships with a legal declaration sheet.
Customs duties outside the EU will be borne by the auction winner.
