Description:
A distinctive Dutch Art Deco table lamp, attributed to Thabur The Hague, dating from around the 1930s.
The lamp features a handsome cream-colored/opalescent glass body with characteristic brown, blue and reddish marbled glass threads. The glass is mounted on a black Bakelite/Bakelite base.
The form, the glass, and the material combination align well with known Thabur lamps from the 1930s. Similar Thabur lamps from this period are known with swirled and marbled opaline glass.
