Sambonet flatware service for 6, dating to the mid-20th century, roughly between the 1930s and the 1950s, representative of one of the Italian historical excellences in the luxury silverware sector.
On most of the set the Sambonet AS mark is stamped, certifying the high quality of the silvering on an alpaca base.
The knives are an exception, whose steel blades bear the inscription Inoxid Depositato, while the handles do not bear the same hallmark even though they are perfectly matched in style with the rest of the service.
The set consists of a service with 6 large forks, 6 tablespoons, 6 large knives, 6 small forks, 6 small knives, and 3 serving pieces.
From an aesthetic and conservation standpoint, the cutlery shows the normal signs of time and use, in addition to the natural oxidation typical of silver.
