This fairly rare, peculiar and charming French table radio set has been fully restored and is ready for daily listening pleasure.
The bakelite cabinet and front have been deeply cleaned and protected with clear high-gloss varnish (low maintenance).
The front shows very light signs of age.
The knobs are NOS.
Due to irreparable defects in the original electronics, the unit was converted into a 3.5 watt tube amplifier, driven by either:
- A solid-state FM tuner with very good reception via a rod antenna (87.5-108 MHz)
- A Bluetooth receiver (not Hi-Fi);
All resistors, capacitors and semiconductors are new.
Tuning is done with the original knob, but due to an irreparable fault there is no moving indication from the tuning needle.
The rear and bottom panels are not original.
Given that this is a mains-powered device, there are no external input and/or output jacks.
Scale illumination with 6V LED strip.
Vacuum tubes: UY42-UL41-UAF42-UCH81 (tested +90%).
