Description from the seller
Pickup only
Tannoy Sensys DC2 floorstanding loudspeakers in the light Maple (maple veneer) finish, designed in Great Britain by Tannoy (circa 2003–2006). The speakers are fitted with new rubber surrounds, allowing the woofers to perform smoothly and tightly for many more years. Technically everything functions 100% as it should and they sound fantastic. Visually, the set is in clearly used condition: the enclosures show visible damage and the supertweeters also have optical damage (see photos).
For demanding audiophiles, the Sensys DC2 represents the best of Tannoy's acoustic heritage within an affordable floorstanding enclosure. The heart of the system is formed by the patented Dual Concentric driver: a point-source configuration where the titanium dome tweeter sits exactly in the acoustic center of the 7-inch midrange/bass cone. This results in unmatched phase coherence, natural instrument placement, and an extremely wide, homogeneous stereo image.
On top of the enclosure, there is a separate WideBand SuperTweeter integrated, extending up to as much as 51,000 Hz. This supertweeter was originally developed for high-resolution audio formats (such as SACD and DVD-Audio), but in practice it enhances the perceived range with more spaciousness, airiness, and transient response. Combined with an additional 7-inch woofer for the lows, the Sensys DC2 delivers a deep, fast, and dynamic soundstage with impressive authority. At the rear, there is a double bass-reflex port and a bi-wiring terminal, including a fifth earth grounding terminal (Tannoy driver grounding terminal) to eliminate chassis interference.
