Description from the seller

Beautiful and detailed replica made in the Atrezzo CanArea51 workshop, with all the luxury of detail and 1:1 scale.

NOTE: It is triple-packed for greater security, it is shipped with insurance and tracking via UPS Smart Shipping by Catawiki.

Smilodon (from Ancient Greek smilē, 'scalpel' or double-edged knife; and odous, 'tooth') is an extinct genus of saber-toothed felids in the subfamily of the macairodontines. It appeared in North America at the end of the Pliocene and spread to South America during the Great American Biotic Interchange. Three species are recognized in this genus: Smilodon gracilis, Smilodon fatalis, and Smilodon populator. It is estimated that the largest individuals of the Smilodon populator species may have exceeded 400 kg, thereby surpassing the modern Siberian tiger for the title of the largest feline of all time (more than 300 kg for the largest reported specimens). But compared with most felids, the most distinctive feature of the genus is its enormous canines, which have made it since its discovery one of the most popular prehistoric mammals.
