Elegant set of six vintage Italian dining chairs dating from circa 1920–1940, with dark walnut wood and high backs woven in natural fibre, upholstered in ochre velvet with brass studs, dimensions 90 cm high by 48 cm wide by 48 cm deep, in good used condition with minor signs of age and stains.
Description from the seller
Elegant set of six antique chairs, presumably dating to the first half of the 20th century, around 1920–1940, characterized by rich workmanship and a notable decorative presence.
The chairs feature a solid dark brown wooden frame in a walnut shade, with high backs adorned by an elaborate interwoven weave in natural fiber. The geometric pattern of the weave is framed by the shaped wood and creates a light and particularly recognizable motif.
The upper part of the backrest is enhanced by a refined carved wooden decoration, composed of volutes and vegetal motifs arranged symmetrically around a central element. The ends are completed with small turned elements.
The wide padded seats are upholstered in ochre velvet, finished along the perimeter with darkened metal studs, which emphasize the seat’s profile and harmonize perfectly with the dark wood color.
Also particularly well cared for is the lower structure: turned legs and crosspieces alternate with squared elements, creating an articulated and harmonious design that gives the chairs a substantial appearance even when viewed from the side.
The set, complete with six coordinated pieces, makes a strong overall impression and is particularly suitable for a dining room with character, a classic ambience, or inserted as a contrast in a contemporary interior.
Pickup is available in Broni (PV), Lombardy, ground floor, with vehicle access and support for goods loading.
