SIBON - Statue, Man/vrouw Sibon - 30.4 cm - Terracotta - 1970

A distinctive pair of two stylized terracotta sculptures, depicting a man and a woman, crafted in a characteristic African/tribal style.
Both sculptures are hand-formed and have a dark patinated surface, with the warm reddish-brown color of the terracotta visible in places.
The expressive faces, elongated body shapes, and prominently designed hands and feet give the sculptures a powerful and decorative character.
Both pieces are clearly stamped/marked on the back with “SIBON”.
The sculptures differ in size but share the same characteristic design and workmanship, forming a handsome ensemble.
The sculptures are in good vintage condition with normal signs of aging and use. See the photos for a good impression of the workmanship, condition, and SIBON markings.
