Description from the seller
IN RISALTO:
• Innocenti Mini T "Legno" Traveller of 1966 belonging to the rare First Series with long-throw gearshift
• Bodywork restored about 20 years ago with replacement of the floors and restoration of the wooden finishes on the rear
• Preserves the original black license plate and Italian documentation
• Original interiors preserved and recently serviced, passed at the Motor Vehicle Department
STORIA/PANORAMICA:
The Innocenti Mini T (Traveller), introduced in the early 1960s under license from the British Motor Corporation, represents the refined estate variant of the famous Mini assembled at the Innocenti plant in Lambrate. Characterized by the extended wheelbase, the double rear hinged door, and the distinctive exterior ash wood finishes on the rear section, it blended Alec Issigonis’s design genius with a touch of Italian elegance.
This 1966 example belongs to the desirable First Series with long-throw gearshift. The car was restored about 22 years ago, during which the floors were replaced and the wooden finishes of the rear bodywork were completely restored. As a vehicle used very rarely and always stored indoors in a garage, it remains in good overall condition and is equipped with its original black-era number plates. The car has recently passed the circulation eligibility inspection (revision) at the Motorizzazione.
BODY/PAINTWORK:
The bodywork and structure present themselves in good overall condition. The restoration carried out about 20 years ago included replacement of the floors and a full repaint of the car, as well as the complete restoration of the external wooden finishes, which are now well preserved. The vehicle is free from urgent repair work; however the seller notes the need to replace the exhaust due to holes in the lower tail section, as well as the replacement of a plastic door-latch clip on the driver’s side window. A thorough cleaning of the underbody is also recommended, particularly in the rear section.
INTERIORS:
The cabin is preserved with its original period interiors. The seat coverings, dashboard and interior panels maintain the factory original layout with the classic First Series-era configuration.
MECHANICS:
The mechanicals are functioning and have undergone conservative maintenance. Specifically, the braking system was overhauled two years ago, while this year the ignition coil and spark plugs were replaced. The car is drivable and has passed the legal periodic inspection.
DOCUMENTS:
The car is supplied with Italian registration documents in order and its original era black license plate.
The car is viewable and collectible in Serravezza, Italy.

Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
