Antique French Copper & Brass Cookware Set – Large Cauldron, Saucepan, Tray & Lid – c. 1880–1910

Exceptional decorative set of antique copperware including a large antique cauldron with lid and movable bail, a copper-brass saucepan with a wooden handle, and a decorative, heavy stand.

This is an extraordinarily striking set with an authentic, rustic character that has preserved natural, long-standing patina and clear signs of manual manufacture and use. The set presents particularly attractively as interior decoration, a collectible exhibit, or an element of décor in a French Country, farmhouse, rustic, château, cottage, or industrial vintage style.

The centerpiece of the set is a large, rounded antique cauldron with a distinctive movable metal bail. The body features a beautifully preserved irregular surface with natural discolorations, wear, and traces of former use. Inside, a dark, authentic patina typical of old metal vessels is visible.

The cauldron comes with a matching domed lid with a large riveted handle. The lid can be displayed separately or partially seated on the vessel, providing many display possibilities.

Completing the set is a smaller saucepan/dish with a characteristic wooden handle, stylistically matching the large cauldron. Its surface also retains a beautiful multi-toned patina and signs of former use.

A heavy decorative stand with an ornate, twisted rim completes the ensemble, perfectly showcasing the main element of the set and giving the whole collection a more regal character.
